The Educational Department of the Scuderie del Quirinale and Palazzo delle Esposizioni makes a special effort to bring youth closer to the language and practices of art, proposing new ways of observing and interpreting reality. A work of art represents a chance to understand the world in a new way, perhaps even to reinvent it; we believe that any cultural event should ultimately aim at reaching, and educating, the most diverse audience. As there are no permanent collections, the art laboratories are developed specifically for each exhibition: hands-on activities , guided tours , interactive exploration and theme-inspired events engage a broad spectrum of visitors, and stretch their imaginations. Children and teens, students and academics, adults and artists can all access tools geared to their particular needs and interests. Everyone, from school groups to families to individuals, is encouraged to find their personal response to the shows on display. Our aim is to accompany children and young adults in an experience that stimulates amazement, an ability to interpret the world, the desire for self- expression and an understanding of others.

The activity is divided into two moments: the visit of the exhibition favours a direct encounter with the art work, whilst the workshop privileges the dynamic dimension and an active doing. We engage our public in new methods and language that stimulate the creative process and help to decode and produce images in an original and conscious way.
